Description
The public is invited to attend an informational meeting held by CASA of Peoria County. Light snacks will be provided.
CASA of Peoria County is a non-profit organization that recruits and trains community volunteers, who are appointed by judges to be independent fact finders and to speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Peoria County. The program's volunteers work with the court system and the Department of Children and Family Services to ensure that all the necessary information is presented to the court to allow the judge to make the best decision possible.
For people interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, please note that the next training class will be held from April 26 to May 5, 2014.
