DESCRIPTION:AARP will host a Peoria Livable Communities Forum with local community and civic leaders to discuss how people can live actively and connect locally on Wednesday\, November 15th from 5:30pm until 7pm. The event will be held at the Hult Center for Healthy Living located 5215 N. Knoxville Avenue in Peoria. Livable Communities Forum supports AARP Illinois efforts to empower communities\, work with elected officials\, policy makers\, community leaders\, citizen activists and people age-50-plus to enhance our communities and neighborhoods. Our goal is to help provide safe\, walkable streets\; age-friendly housing and transportation options\; access to needed services\; and opportunities for residents to work and volunteer in their community.
