DESCRIPTION:Over 1200 Runners and 135\,000 watts of power make Detweiller at Dark THE most unique XC event in the country! It all goes down at the historic Detweiller Park - where every fall\, the top harriers in the Land of Lincoln converge on this fairly flat field located north of Peoria in fervent pursuit of treasured IHSA state championships. This Summertime event includes an Open Race and Jr. High and High School races for both Girls and Boys divisions with proceeds going to the OSF Healthcare Children's Hospital of Illinois. Little kids can now join in on the race fun! New this year\, kids from 5-10 years old can register for an exciting 800-meter dash. We'll also have a family-fun party area with food and fun activities for kids of all ages! Rally your friends and family together as we celebrate all the good that OSF Children's Hospital has done for kids and families across the state of Illinois. When you register\, you'll get a fundraising page to support the kids at OSF Children's Hospital. The top Team Fundraiser and the Top Individual Fundraiser will get a special prize pack from OSF Children's Hospital as a special "thank you" for giving back to your community and helping kids who need it most.
