DESCRIPTION:Senior Care Network\, a local networking organization focused on the needs of seniors in Central IL\, presents the third annual senior healthy living expo\, "Dimensions of Wellness"\, at the Carver Community Center\, 710 W. Percy Baker Jr Ave.\, in Peoria\, IL. The event takes place on April 16th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is free for to attend. No registration is required. The expo provides seniors an opportunity to gather information on resources and services that can help them remain as active\, healthy\, and independent as possible. This year's presentations are focused on Brain Health. Speakers include: Becka Brooks\, Volunteer Community Educator with the Alzheimer's Association\, who will present "Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters" and Jackie Bowers of Senior World who will present on Brain Fitness. Participants will also be able to receive free health screenings provided by the UnityPoint Health Wellmobile including blood pressure\, glaucoma\, and balance screening.
