The well-loved park is opening their gates to everyone for free on Sunday\, August 16\, encouraging visitors to discover the park in a new way\, whether by learning about native animals\, hiking the 15 miles of trails\, riding the train or fishing and canoeing. \n\n \n\nThis free day also kicks off an effort to increase membership for the park. In order to grow and improve this local landmark\, the park hopes to add 45O new members before the end of October. Wildlife Prairie Park strives to make conservation\, education and recreation accessible to all. A yearlong family membership at the park costs as little as $7.08 a month. Those interested in becoming members will be able to sign up at the event and will be entered to win prizes.
