DESCRIPTION:The response to our requests for voters to sign petitions for redistricting reform has been overwhelming. IL voters understand the problems with gerrymandering and want change. To help more voters support the statewide initiative for redistricting\, League members and a notary will be available on October 19\, 2013 at the Lakeview Library in Peoria from 10 am to 4 pm. \n\n\n\nWe will:\n\n	\n		Have petitions for registered voters to sign.\n	\n		Distribute petitions for persons that want to circulate them and help collect the needed signatures to get on the ballot in Nov. 2014.\n	\n		Receive completed petitions to send in to Yes for Independent Maps.\n	\n		Offer free notary service for those completing and turning in petitions.\n	\n		Provide answers to questions about the process to put the voters back in charge.\n\nPlease share this information with as many people as possible through word of mouth\, email\, Facebook\, or any other form of communication that lets people know that their voices can be heard\; change can occur through this unique citizen-led campaign.
