DESCRIPTION:Kick Abuse at Kickapoo 5K Trail Run/Walk April 16\n\n \n\nPEORIA   It's the race against child abuse.\n\n \n\nCommemorating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month\, the Pediatric Resource Center is raising awareness and much needed funds in the fight against child abuse and neglect with the 4th Annual 5K Kick Abuse at Kickapoo Creek Winery Trail Run/Walk on Saturday\, April 16.  \n\n \n\nAll proceeds go toward helping the PRC provide medical exams and case management services to child victims of physical abuse\, sexual abuse and neglect. Last year\, the PRC evaluated a record number of children   more than 440 kids! Help stop this trend.\n\n \n\nRegister online at www.go.illinois.edu/kickabuse5k or by calling 309-624-9595. Cost is $30 per person or $25 per student. Packet pick-up will take place from 4-7 p.m. April 15 at Great Clips at Metro Centre in Peoria or on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Please note\, the run/walk takes place on a grass trail through part of the vineyard and will have a cross country start. The PRC also is seeking volunteers for race day. \n\n \n\nAll participants age 21 and over will receive three free wine tastings from Kickapoo Creek Winery after the race.
