DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first Mittalter Fr hlingsmarkt ( Spring Market) at Hickory Grove Park on Saturday\, April 17th from 10am   8:00pm.  Area arts and craft vendors will be selling a wide variety of seasonal items.  Live entertainment will be provided.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase.  Free admission.  Hickory Park is in Dunlap\, IL.  Address 12403 N Hickory Grove Rd.\n\n \n\nA Mittelaltermarkt or Middle Age Market is a German version of a Renaissance fair.  Our Middle Age Market will focus mostly on crafters this year.  Over 1000 Mittelaltermarkts are held in Germany each year.  \n\n \n\nSince this is close to is a Middle Age related event\, all workers\, vendors and attendees are encouraged to dress up in period attire.  Basically any costume you might see on Game of Thrones\, Vikings\, Robin Hood\, William Tell\, Merlin\, King Arthur\, Hobbit\, Lord of the Rings\, Robin Hood movies or TV shows for example.  We welcome knights\, handmaidens\, monks\, peasants\, princesses\, lords\, huntsmen\, witches\, sorcerers\, fairies\, elfs\, trolls and more!\n\n \n\nFood being served will include:  bratwurst\, pork schnitzel\, sauerkraut\, German potato salad\, Berliner wurst and Bavarian pretzels.  Softdrinks\, beer and wine will also be available.  Ice Cream specialties can also be purchased.\n\n \n\nCrafters will be setup until at least 5pm.  Food will be served until 6pm or until it runs out.\n\n \n\nAnyone who is interested in being a vendor should call or text Jeff Pulfer at 309-621-1813.  Vendors should reserve a spot by Wednesday\, April 14th.\n\n \n\nCOVID-19 Guidelines need to be followed.  Only service animals allowed on the property during this event.
