DESCRIPTION:In an effort to educate the community about lung cancer\, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is hosting the 3rd Annual Party for a Purpose.\n\n\n\nThe Lung Cancer Awareness event will be held on the Peoria Riverfront on Sunday\, September 1\, 2013 from 5-9pm. Organized by the Comprehensive Lunc Cancer Center at OSF Saint Francis in conjunction with the Illinois Lung Institute and Central Illinois Radiological Associates\, the event will incorporate education into a fun-filled family-friendly evening.\n\n\n\nParty for a Purpose will feature Zoo Lady face painting for kids\, music by the West MacQueen Street Band\, creations by Unique Twist Balloon\, with food and beverages available for purchase. A "Shine the Light on Lung Cancer" Awareness Vigil will take place at 8:30 pm.\n\n\n\nDoor prizes will be given away\, including a $100 Shoppes at Grand Prairie gift certificate\, BP gas card\, restaurant gift cards\, and RiverPlex passes.
