DESCRIPTION:Flanagan House to offer Pioneer Day for children  \n\n\n\n            PEORIA   Children ages 6 -12 will learn about the daily lives of Peoria's settlers at the Peoria Historical Society's first-ever Pioneer Day. The educational and fun event will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 8 at the John C. Flanagan House\, 942 NE Glen Oak Ave. Rain date is Aug. 15.   \n\n            Crafts and activities will be on the back lawn of Peoria's oldest house\, built in 1837. A parent must accompany each family.  \n\n            Admission is $15 per child and includes a voucher for a guided tour of the house. Admission is free for parents\, although an optional house tour will cost $5\, which is half the usual price. Vouchers for house tours may be redeemed the day of the event or later.             \n\n           Social distancing and masks will be required. Hand sanitizer will be provided. For reservations\, call the Peoria Historical Society at 674-1921.
