DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Running With The Dogs will be held on Sunday\, August 11th at Junction City in Peoria. Registration opens at 8:30 am with the race beginning promptly at 10:00 am.\n\n\n\nStarted by high school senior Nick Zaluendo\, Running With The Dogs is a venture put on by Junction City Shopping Center with all proceeds going to support Peoria's Paws Giving Independence. The race features a 5k run or a 3k walk through Peoria and Peoria Heights\, with a post-race luau and dog party.\n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring their dogs along for all competition and festivities. Participation fees are $20 per racer (includes race and luau) or $5/person for the post-race party only.
