DESCRIPTION:IVS is hosting the 2020 Steamboat Start - a beginners program that will focus on getting people able to finish the 4 Mile Steamboat Classic. Illinois Valley Striders would like to invite to join our Steamboat Start Training program. The initial training starts on April 1st at 5:45pm on the Peoria Riverfront near the Spirit of Peoria/Clock Tower - across from the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The training program is free and open to all ability levels but is developed to allow new and returning runners to finish the 4 mile Steamboat Classic race in June. Training is every Wednesday at 5:45pm\, and you can drop in on any training with no committment needed\, however we do require a signed waiver at your first attendence.
