Description
The 13th Annual 2015 Mark Linder Walk for the Mind will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 along the Peoria riverfront at the RiverPlex. We are pleased to announce Eric "Hoovey" Elliott is our Honorary Chairman for 2015 Mark Linder Walk for the Mind. Eric Hoovey Elliott was a young boy with a very promising basketball career until a potentially fatal illness threatened to take it all. Wanting to inspire others, Jeff (Eric's father) wrote a book about his son's amazing comeback called "Rebounding From Death's Door". Eric's story and his miraculous comeback has now been made into a movie called "Hoovey". Eric is from Central Illinois (Olympia High School, Carl Sandburg College, Illinois State University) and now lives in Bloomington, Illinois. Registration is available the day of the Walk or can be done at www.marklinderwalkforthemind.org/registration.
