6th Annual Das Bier Run with the Peoria Octoberfest

We are excited to bring Das Bier Run once again to Peoria's Oktoberfest! This year, the event will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
 
The race starts at 12:30pm - a nice (and not early) start to the day.  Once you cross that finish line, it's time for drinks, traditional German music and fun! 
           
The race is being sponsored by the Peoria Jaycees, the Peoria German-American Society, and the Peoria Park District.   Registration can be done in advance or day of the race.  Day of the race registration is in front of the Gateway Buiding.  
 
Races have been part of Oktoberfests since they were started in the early 1800’s.  At that time though it was horse racing and not foot races. 
 
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to His Helping Hands, a charity organization focused on home repair and maintenance for those in need.

A Das Bier Run stein
TWO drink tokens (to be used for soda or beer)
Race entry (registered with Illinois Valley Striders for the Grand Prix!)
 
As if we didn't already add enough fun to the day, there is also a costume contest with great prizes for the top winners - individual and team levels! Go all out and show us your best garb!
