Description
The Alzheimer's Association - Central Illinois Chapter will host Facing New Challenges, a program that provides information on caring for someone with memory loss and teaches new communication techniques for caregivers. The event will take place Thursday, November 7th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, at UnityPoint Clinic, 900 N. Main Street, Ste 100, Peoria.
Topics to be discussed include normal aging vs. aging with dementia, safety concerns including driving and wandering, community resources, planning for the future and agency services. Time will also be allotted for specific questions about memory loss.
Individuals must register by Nov. 6th by calling the Peoria office at 309-681-1100 or 800-272-3900. Materials fee is $5.00 per person.
