Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale and special guests December 15 & 16 at 7:30 p.m. and December 17 at 2:30 p.pm for our next presentation of An American Family Christmas! Hear reimagined versions of favorite Christmas songs like “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and new favorites like an African themed “Noel,” a hauntingly beautiful a capella version of “O Magnum Mysterium,” and a men’s choral version of “Blue Christmas.” The special guest artist for the concert series is soprano and Peoria native Dr. Jamie-Rose Guarrine. Dr. Guarrine, a former PACC Youth and Honors Chorus member, has enjoyed a successful career as a full-time opera singer and is currently an Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus and a high school winner of the chorale’s Young Artist competition will perform during each concert date. A Junior High Festival Chorus comprised of 7-9th graders from local Central Illinois schools will perform on Friday night only. There will also be a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at each performance! Attendees are invited to join the PACC for a cake reception on Friday and Saturday evening following each performance.
