Beginner Basket Weaving ~ Rustic Painted Muffin Basket

Learn the basics of basket weaving in this fun and unique class. Members of the Land of Lincoln Basketweaving Association will coach you every step of the way. The featured basket will be a Rustic Muffin Basket. Participants will learn the basics of traditional basket weaving techniques: laying out a base, weaving up the sides, adding simple handles, as well as rimming and lashing. Options for staining and/or painting the completed basket will be discussed. Approximate size: 6 1/2 inches square by 3 inches high (not including the handles). Cost: $22 - Includes all weaving materials and use of instructor’s tools.
