Description
The 10th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium brings some of the most recognized leaders in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment together to discuss what’s new in the field of imaging, treatment and prevention over the past year.
Judy Kneece, RN, OCN, the author of seven published books, including the "Breast Cancer Treatment Handbook" will talk about her latest book "Restoring Your Sexuality After Breast Cancer Treatment".
Geared to breast cancer survivors, Kneece will address how chemotherapy causes changes that impact quality of life and sexual function. She also will address major issues chemotherapy causes, including dealing with issues of low-desire to compensate for the reduction of sex hormones. Each woman who attends will receive a copy of the book.
Presented by the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and the Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate, the symposium is made possible through many donations
