Attorneys of Davis & Campbell will be presenting for our February Member Seminar: The Cannabis Clean-Up Tour: New Employer Concerns Due to Change in Recreational Marijuana Law & Related Topics. During this presentation we will:
- Buzz through the changes to original recreational marijuana bill and effect on employers
- Score information on whether medical marijuana usage should be accommodated
- Sift through potential implications of marijuana legislation on workers compensation matters
Richard A. Russo is a member of Davis & Campbell L.L.C. in its Peoria office. His practice concentrates on municipal law and representing management in labor and employment matters and commercial litigation. He has been admitted to practice in all Illinois state courts, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and in the U.S. Supreme Court. He was a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section Council, serving as the Council’s Illinois Department of Human Rights Liaison from 2006 - 2016. He was named to the Rising Stars list for labor & employment law by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine each year from 2010 - 2018. Richard earned his B.A., cum laude, at Augustana College in 2000, and his J.D., magna cum laude, at the University of Illinois College of Law in 2003.
Nicole D. Meyer is an attorney in Davis & Campbell L.L.C.’s Peoria office and is a 2003 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Bronze Tablet) and a 2006 graduate of DePaul University College of Law. She focuses her practice in the area of commercial litigation, using her civil litigation experience to advise clients on an ongoing basis and prepare for their defense in administrative actions and state and federal court lawsuits. Prior to joining Davis & Campbell, Nicole practiced with the law firm of SmithAmundsen, LLC in Chicago, and served as the Director of Bradley University’s Pre-Law Center.
