Description
Join us for the 5th Annual Das Bier Run on Sunday, September 18th.! This is a fun 5k with a costume contest that begins at the Gateway Building in on the Peoria riverfront and ends at Oktoberfest. This event is co-sponsored by the Peoria Jaycees, the Peoria German- American Society, and Peoria Park District.
This year we are raising funds for Paws Giving Independence, a local non-profit organization that rescues dogs and trains them for service. After two years of training, the service dogs are placed with people who have mobility issues, PTSD, and other situations where they need extra assistance.
Step off is at 12:30PM on September 18th. Runners are welcome to participate in the costume contest. Awards will follow the race at 2:20PM (must be present to receive awards). All registered runners will also have FREE entry into Oktoberfest! Register before September 1st for $28.00 or $35.00 after September 1st.
