In 2022, Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging, a new nonprofit organization in the Greater Peoria Area, will host two showcase events to reach out to the community and share our vision of healthy aging. We are delighted to enter this new phase of bringing grace, dignity, and whole-person health to the older adults of Peoria through education, connections, and innovation! Peoria is the 7th largest city in Illinois and of the top 10, the only city that does not have a community-based center for older adults to socialize, learn new things, and feel appreciated for who they are! Graceland will not be a residential location or an adult day care location, but a wellness site to help older adults to age in place and live their best life possible. We do not have a location yet but are building community interest and support. Our first event will be held on Saturday, April 30th from 10 am to 1:30 pm at the historical and beautiful Proctor Center on DuSable Street, which has been in the news as the recipient of Peoria Parks funding for renovation! The cost of registration is just $5.00 and will include materials and a light lunch. Registration is online or by phone, as indicated on the flyer. Register at https://forms.gle/5Bbc6p18pzHnbtyA8 OR Call 833.503.7773 to leave a message; we will return your call promptly to help you register.
