Join us for lunch/program titled “Awakening Leadership” and hear from Tony Deane, author of “Ramadi Declassified-A Roadmap to Peace in the Most Dangerous City in Iraq”. Retired Lt. Colonel Tony Deane will talk about his experience in the pivotal battle of the Iraq War, the Battle of Ramadi during the summer and fall of 2006. Lt. Colonel Deane led the First Battalion, Thirty-Fifth Armored Regiment—Task Force Conqueror—to the most dangerous city in the world” and the center of Al Qaeda’s New Islamic Caliphate, Ramadi, Iraq.  Their efforts took back the city, fostered the start of the Anbar Awakening, and the eventual defeat of the Al Qaeda in Iraq.

• Sponsor a Service Member - $30 - Register and Pay for a Service Member to attend as your guest.
• Donation - Submit a donation to cover the cost of lunch for Service Member (s). Fee is $30 per ticket. A donation of $120 will cover the cost of 4 Service Members. Tickets will be distributed by members of the Heart of Illinois HR Council as registrations are received.
