Heyl Royster Hosts Seminar on Medical Marjuana

Heyl Royster is hosting a webinar and seminar in Peoria that will cover the aspects of Illinois medical marijuana law. The Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act became effective on January 1, 2014. While much of the Act will be governed by state agencies, there are immediate concerns that any employer should be aware of, as well as specific matters that local public bodies must address, such as zoning issues. The first session of this seminar/webinar will be focused on what employers need to know about the Act, and the second session will address issues specific to governmental entities. Attendees are invited to both sessions or may choose to only attend first session if the second session is not relevant to their profession.
