IL Concealed Carry

Description

There is a huge amount of information in addition to a solid set of physical skills to learn. Our curriculum exceeds the minimum requirements as we also cover basic defensive shooting skills, the mindset of the criminal, psychological and physiological reactions of the body in a high stress critical incident, strategies for personal safety and responding to a violent confrontation, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, holster selection criteria, and more.

All applicants must pass a live fire exercise with a concealable firearm consisting of: 
a.A minimum of 30 rounds 
b.10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards, 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards, and 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the ISP.

Qualification takes place at our state of the art indoor range!
Students will also have an opportunity to practice shoot/don't shoot scenarios on the live action simulator.

Please bring a positive attitude, a state issued photo ID and FOID, a modern, clean, properly maintained serviceable pistol in good working order, at least 100 rounds factory loaded ammunition, and eye & ear protection. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes. A brimmed hat is recommended.

Class runs a minimum of 16 hours so you shouldn't plan to leave early.
