IPDPL is pleased to welcome award-winning author Joe Chianakas on October 22, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the Metamora branch. Mr. Chianakas is the author of the Rabbit in Red horror trilogy and Nightmares Under the Moonlight, a short story anthology. Mr. Chianakas will speak on “Halloween and Horror: Why We Love to be Scared,” along with offering advice for aspiring writers. A Q&A session and book signing will follow the presentation. This event is free and open to the public. IPDPL will be giving away copies of Rabbit in Red to the first 15 guests to arrive that evening. Additionally, Mr. Chianakas will have copies of Rabbit in Red, Rabbit in Red Trilogy Edition, and Nightmares Under the Moonlight available for purchase for $15, $25, and $10, respectively. Mr. Chianakas will be available to sign copies of his books following the presentation.
