Description
Kids to Parks Day – celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May – is a national day of play that connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks. By discovering our public lands, kids across the country:
— Enjoy outdoor recreation
— Learn STEM and history
— Embrace their important role as park stewards
How can you celebrate the big day?
Be a part of our 48th Annual Clyde West Fishing Derby!
We are switching things up a little this year! During our derby, we will have 10 special albino catfish added to the 1,300 pounds of catfish already ordered for people to catch. Anyone who catches an albino catfish will get a special prize. Participants can also register for door prizes. This is a free event and is for families and kids 15 and under.
We also have interactive activities hosted by Peoria Zoo, Peoria PlayHouse, and Forest Park Nature Center from 10am to 2pm!
