Juror Lecture: March 1, 5pm – Horowitz Auditorium, Caterpillar Global Communications Center Join us March 1st, 5pm in Horowitz Auditorium located in the Caterpillar Global Communications Center on campus for a lecture by the 6th Central Time Ceramics juror Gail Kendall. An opening reception in Heuser Art Gallery and Hartmann Center Gallery will immediately follow the lecture. Following her formal education at the University of Michigan (BSD) and Eastern Michigan University (MFA) Gail Kendall spent ten years working as an independent studio artist in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1987 she accepted a position in the Department of Art & Art History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she taught for twenty-four years. Kendall has been a resident artist at c.r.e.t.a.Rome, Spode Fine China Works, S-O-T England, Watershed Center, The Archie Bray, Red Lodge Clay Center and Anderson Ranch Art Center. Her work has appeared in articles & books including Ceramics: Art and Perception, Neue Keramik, Emmanuel Cooper’s “Contemporary Ceramics”, and Masters of Earthenware, (US).
