Common Place Family Learning Center is celebrating 50 years of literacy, education, and outreach to our South Side Peoria Community in 2017. The Love in Action Reception will honor two local community leaders for their “Love in Action.” WEEK-TV personality, Garry Moore and his wife, District 1 Peoria City Council Member, Denise Moore have been chosen as recipients of 2017 Love In Action honors.
The 50th Anniversary Celebration: Love In Action Award Reception will be held at The Warehouse on State Street on Thursday, September 7, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
The Common Place Love In Action Award was created in 2007 to honor individuals from our community who support the Common Place mission and have created a lasting impact improving literacy, education, justice, community organization, neighborhood development or neighborhood stabilization.
Tickets for the Common Place Love in Action Award Reception are $55 per person. Reservations may also be made online at www.commonplacepeoria.org/events. Reservation deadline is August 25th.
