Anytime there are multiple generations represented in an organization, there is a managerial challenge: how can the organization drive high performance from groups that are so diverse in terms of values and orientations? How can senior managers lead an organization when there are clear differences in the goals and expectations of different groups of employees? How can organizational leaders form effective teams and provide effective coaching across such distinct cohorts? In this program, Dr. Aaron Buchko, Professor of Management and Leadership at Bradley University, will explore these issues and other challenges of managing multigenerational organizations. The format will involve presentation, assessment, and discussion among participants and with Dr. Buchko. At the end of the session, participants will have a greater understanding of the generational differences and issues impacting organizations today and a better sense of how to effectively manage today’s multigenerational organization.
