Description

PALM (Peoria Area Labor Management Council, Inc.) recently went through strategic strategy with Dr. Aaron Buchko of Bradley University.  With its strategic strategy plan, PALM is getting back on track and focused on the future.

One of the many changes we are making going forward includes hosting speakers.  We are pleased to announce that Paul Taylor, brought to you by IBEW-NECA: The Quality Connection, will kick off our Speaker Series on May 19, 2015.

Paul Taylor is the author of The Next America, a data-rich portrait of where we are as a nation and where we’re headed.  The book examines the demographic, economic, social, cultural and technological changes that are reshaping our nation.  Today’s Millennials, well-educated, tech savvy, underemployed, twenty-something, are at risk of becoming the first generation in American history to have a lower standard of living that their parents.  Meantime, more than 10,000 Baby Boomers are retiring every single day.  America is in the throes of a demographic overhaul.  The Next America is a data rich portrait of where we are as a nation and where we are headed – toward a future marked by the most striking social, racial and economic shift the country has seen in a century.
