Peoria Area Military Retiree Appreciation Day

The Itoo Society of Peoria, Illinois, and its Military Affairs Committee is incredibly excited to host the upcoming 2017 Military Retiree Appreciation Day. It's a first-of-its-kind event for Central Illinois and will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Itoo Hall, 4909 W. Farmington Road, Peoria, Illinois, from 0715 until 1400. Military Retiree Appreciation Day is an information-packed event bringing resources together to update and inform retired and pre-retiree military members from all branches of service, as well as widow/ers and spouses of retirees in Central Illinois, concerning the availability of entitlements and benefits and to ensure their implementation. The event will include, but is not limited to, presentations by elected representatives about legislation that may impact benefits, along with legal issues and counseling. Services provided include updating administrative records and ID cards, as well as health screenings. In addition, we want to show appreciation to our heroes for their service and give them a chance to mingle and network with other military retirees throughout the day.
