Description
The purpose of this course is to teach students to properly plan for risk, recognize threat indicators before they develop into an attack, and mitigation of those risks.
The class will cover the following topics as well as others:
• Contextual Training
• Risk, likelihood, impact
• Risk Management
• Analyzing Threat Environments
• Identifying Threats & Vulnerabilities
• Identifying Incidents
• Targets
• How we look to bad guys
• Hunters Vs. Howlers
• Threat Mitigation
• Awareness & Threat Recognition
• Recognizing Hostile Surveillance Activities
• And more!
After the classroom training, a field training exercise (FTX) will be conducted. The students will break into teams and be sent on something similar to a scavenger hunt. They will have pre-designated places to go and tasks to complete. Students will need to evaluate and plan for risk in each environment as well as look for those giving off pre-attack indicators. Anonymous role players may interact with them at certain points along the route.
After the FTX is complete, students will go back to the classroom for the FTX debriefing.
Students will receive a binder/workbook to take home and catered lunch will be provided.
