Portraits of Peoria Murals

Join Big Picture Peoria as we unveil eight augmented reality enabled murals honoring notable past Peorians (and those who called the area home) who have changed our community and our world. Using a special phone app, you will be able to scan each mural, prompting a video featuring a local actor portraying the subject of the mural. The murals will "come to life," each telling stories of their incredible accomplishments. Featured Speakers: Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth and Sen. Dave Koehler. The event will take place outside the Peoria Public Library in downtown Peoria (107 NE Monroe St, Peoria, IL 61602). After the unveiling, you are invited to an exhibit reception inside the library featuring artwork from the mural artists.
