Vet Connect: Creating Camaraderie. Connecting Community. Local groups combine forces to connect veterans to service providers and each other Central Illinois veterans have a number of resources and organizations available to them in the heart of Illinois; however, many of these services are unknown to veterans leading them to be dis-connected to these valuable benefits and social networks. Peoria Vet Center is hosting Vet Connect, a Central Illinois Veterans Resource Expo, from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, April 8th, at veteran-owned Obed and Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery. Vet Connect is bringing local veteran service providers, businesses and social groups together to meet and greet with local veterans at this free event.
