Wine and Wags for the Humane Society of Central Illinois

Start the New Year out right with some fun for you and support for your furry friends at the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Mackinaw Valley Vineyard will host an exclusive tour, wine tasting, and trivia game ( for animal lovers of course!) with a silent auction to boot, all for $30 per person!  Just register online for One Person, Two People, Three People or Four People, or call the Humane Society at (309) 451-1000, or visit the shelter during our business hours to get signed up. All proceeds will go to help the animals at the HSCI!

Schedule:

12:30 – 1:00 pm – Arrival and check in

1:00 – 2:00 pm – Tour and Wine Tasting

2:00 – 4:00 pm – Trivia game with animal centric topics, 10 questions per category, with teams of four or less.

3:45 – 4:00 pm – Silent Auction Close

A tour and tasting is conducted as follows:

Groups tour the workroom located under the tasting room to learn about winemaking and also have a short tour of the vineyards (weather permitting).

After the tour a formal tasting of at least six different wines will be conducted, followed by a Q&A with guests about winemaking and Illinois wines.

A tour and tasting usually takes about one hour depending on how many questions are asked.

Trivia Time: Fun animal centric trivia topics with 10 questions per category, four people or less per team and prizes for round winners.

Location: Mackinaw Valley Vineyard is located at 33633 State Route 9 in Mackinaw. The winery is 16 miles west of I-55 on IL Route 9 exit in Bloomington. Take Route 9 west for 16 miles.

The registration deadline for the Wine and Wags event is February 22 at 2:00 pm.
