About Us
LISC is a national organization with a community focus. The LISC Central IL office opened its doors in 2012. We are dedicated to transforming distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities of choice and opportunity – good places to live, work, do business, and raise a family. LISC works in collaboration with local community development groups and residents to identify priorities and challenges, delivering the most appropriate support to meet local needs. Since 1980, LISC has invested $26.7 billion to build or rehabilitate 463,215 affordable homes and apartments, as well as develop 78.5 million commercial retail and community space.
