WHAT: 2nd Annual Get Fresh Chef Challenge
The area's best chefs will compete for People's Choice (chosen by guests)
and Judge's Choice (chosen by a select panel of judges) to benefit a very
important cause in Central Illinois: Gifts in the Moment Foundation
(GITM)'s Good Food Recovery program. Ten of the area’s best chefs will be
challenged to create small plates using at least one locally-grown ingredient
(grown within 100 miles of Peoria). Winner announcements and a celebration
toast will follow with champagne and live media coverage. The evening will
feature Eugene Daniel of WMBD as emcee and live jazz by Derel Monteith Trio.
