Description
The Illinois SDBC International Trade Center Presents:
Developing an Export Credit Policy
Wednesday, September 2, 2015
8:00 8:30 a.m. Registration with breakfast & networking
8:30 9:30 a.m. Workshop
Join two industry experts in a discussion on how to make your export sales more competitive through an effective export credit policy. Though many companies rely on prepayment as their export pricing terms, this can lead to a noncompetitive position versus other companies that have learned how to leverage resources to support their exports. This includes combining export financing programs and foreign receivables insurance as ways to offer more flexible payment terms to foreign buyers.
Topics include:
Understanding the balancing of risks versus exporter and importer
Overview of international payment methods
Balancing transaction sizes with risk mitigation tools
Working capital options for increased export volumes
Overview of general risk assessment by world area
Location: Peoria NEXT Innovation Center, 801 W Main Street, Peoria IL 61606
