Description
The inaugural Running With The Dogs will be held on Sunday, August 11th at Junction City in Peoria. Registration opens at 8:30 am with the race beginning promptly at 10:00 am.
Started by high school senior Nick Zaluendo, Running With The Dogs is a venture put on by Junction City Shopping Center with all proceeds going to support Peoria's Paws Giving Independence. The race features a 5k run or a 3k walk through Peoria and Peoria Heights, with a post-race luau and dog party.
Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs along for all competition and festivities. Participation fees are $20 per racer (includes race and luau) or $5/person for the post-race party only.
